Foldr – in the Finder! Hot on the heels of Foldr for Windows we’re super-excited to announce that Foldr for macOS is now available in open beta. You can download the beta app here.
PLEASE NOTE – This software is still considered beta and as such may contain bugs. Please ensure that you are running the latest version of the Foldr appliance before installing Foldr for macOS.
What is Foldr for macOS?
Foldr for macOS, like Foldr for Windows, is an application which puts all of your Foldr-connected storage – both on-premise and cloud-based into a single drive accessible through Finder on your Mac. You can access, manage and edit all of your files from your network file servers, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box and more as if they were stored on your PC – with no syncing required!
Does Foldr for macOS work with GarageBand?
Yes! Foldr for macOS has been designed to act like just another drive – albeit a drive which connects you to all of your files, no matter where they are stored. You can use all of your favourite Apple apps including GarageBand, iMovie and the iWork Suite as well as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and any other software that you need to use.
Foldr for Windows had some amazing cloud integration tools…?
And so does Foldr for macOS! Google Docs, Sheets & Slides are treated like native files. Double-click one to launch your default browser and start editing! If you try to move it to a non-Google share Foldr will automatically convert it to it’s equivalent Microsoft Office document format.
How do I get started?
Just download the beta client here and install it alongside all of your other Mac apps. User feedback helps us to keep making Foldr better so if you have any then we’d love you to get in touch.
